The Twain holds

Mark Twain died on this day in 1910.

Twain made writing look easy, but here is what he said in regard to the craft of writing:

"The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter -- it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning."

Today's ghost word:

Twainkling, adj.: Characteristic of a word that gives off its own light.
